Changes, changes...

Time seems to go by faster the more kids you have! I thought Makayla grew up fast, but now that Dillon is here too - yikes! As of mid-September, I don't take care of Allie anymore :( At first I wasn't sure what to do next, but now it turns out its been a good change. I have been able to go more places with the kids, and we go weekly to storytime at the library, play at the park, visit kids museums occasionally, and spend more one-on-one time playing together. Makayla and I are even doing a preschool program, where each week she has a different theme such as: Autumn, Community helpers, Farm Animals, Weather, etc. And we also focus on a letter, number, shape, and color each week. She really enjoys learning new things, and can't wait to do "school" each day!

And Dillon is learning new things everyday too! He took his first step last month, and now takes 4 or 5 steps at a time all by himself! It is so fun to see him walking! He likes to say "Dada", "Mama", "Da", and "Ba" all the time. We are working on learning to say "Bye-bye" and "All done". Dillon is a social, happy boy with a really funny personality!

Russ and I were able to get away for a 4th anniversary trip to Hollywood CA. And with no kids!! We had a blast, and in the end were happy to get back home to see the kids. We checked out the Wax Museum, Ripley's Museum, and World Records Museum. They were all pretty neat to see! We also spent a day at Universal Studios, and had lots of fun! And we stopped at Santa Monica beach to walk on the pier and walk along the beach. Altogether it was a relazing, much-needed trip!
